Being A 5 Year Old

My son is now 5.

Its a wonderful time. He is reading and writing now.
Lockdown homeschooling at the start of 2021 improved both of these significantly.

But despite him knowing more about space, astronomy, the countries of the world and all manner of other things (thanks YouTube) than most people will ever want to hear about, he is still 5.

5 is a great time, his personality is asserted, his character is alive and vibrant.

He however is still 5. They are irrational and stubborn and so full of life and energy

I love him so much, but he is exhausting especially in lockdown. We cannot go to the park or the beach or see his friends and family. I fear it is negatively affecting him. We won't know for years if that is the case, but I'm very conscious of it.

Right now he is lying on the sofa leaning on his table and drawing the Numberblocks. What an amazing show on CBeebies, teaches numbers and math in such a fun way that they have no idea they are learning it.

Us parents love it too.

I don't know why he suddenly decided to draw them today, yesterday we drew the planet Jupiter, which I'm particularly proud of. He guided me in the drawing, so can you guess which is which?
