Job Search 2021 _ Using Your Friends
When I started looking for a new job, my friends network was my first port of call.
This involved talking to my friends, telling them im looking and a post on facebook.
This garnered a few responses from friends telling me about positions open in the companies they work at.
Awesome start!
The companies highlighted to me by my friends were:
- https://www.leanmarketingsystems.com/careers
- https://www.flowbird.group/career/
Then it was just a case of evaluating the positions available against my expectations.
Once I determined if the company and open roles were a good fit, I went through the "apply" process, which is always different for each company.
I also try and follow up via a LinkedIn contact, or through my friend to give a more personal response to my application.

Use your network too!
I have been contacted directly through Twitter for 2 excellent roles. One person found me because of my interaction on some articles in LinkedIn and the other because of a "shoutout" post asking if anyone knew of a position.
Thanks for reading this post.
If you want to reach out, catch me on Twitter!
I am always open to mentoring people, so get in touch.
